Three sizes in ISA’s new Viper line

ISA Yachts has presented its new Viper line. It says that this line takes in the shipyard’s twenty years plus of experience in the production of GRP sports boats. The Viper line will include three models of 100, 120 and 140 feet, all made of composite with carbon reinforcements.

While ISA is responsible for the naval engineering, it has collaborated with Fulvio De Simoni for the development of both the exterior and interior design.

The first project to be put into production, with delivery expected in 2026, is the 38-metre 120 Viper. This has a reduced draft of 1.5 metres, and as such is suitable for shallow waters like the Caribbean Sea. Fitted with three MAN or MTU engines, at the customer’s choice, this displacement vessel can reach the maximum speed of 33 knots and cruising at 26 knots.

Laid out into three distinct zones, the cockpit is said to be the most representative area of 120 Viper, where at sea level, the stern beach club is equipped with a multifunctional ‘transformer’ (bathing step ladder and gangway).

Then there’s a large sun pad facing towards the aft, and a lounge. Two opening side balconies lend ‘extraordinary liveability’ in this area.

The third zone has space for an outdoor table for eight.

To maximise interior space, there’s just one side walkway to the bow (port), and amidships, close to the salon, there’s another balcony.

It’s got a circular pool and four double cabins on the lower deck, plus and the owner’s cabin with double bathroom.

The entrance to the crew quarters, which include three cabins with private bathrooms for four crew members and the captain, has been positioned near the galley to ensure maximum privacy and separation from guests.

ISA was in the news in August 2022, when the brand new ISA superyacht Aria SF was engulfed by fire while cruising off the coast of Formentera in Spain. The 43.7-metre ISA superyacht left the shipyard in Ancona, Italy, in April, and had been delivered to its owner the month before. Footage circulated on social media showed plumes of dark smoke rising from the yacht – visible from neighbouring Ibiza.

Palumbo Superyachts, parent of ISA, recently completed its new shed at the shipyard’s Ancona facility in central Italy, following an investment of €2.9m. The construction, which began in April 2023, involved the creation of a new shed measuring 19 metres in width, 60 metres in length and 19 metres in height. That’ll be used for the outfitting of superyachts.
